Service to Others

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another,
as good stewards of God's varied grace.
1 Peter 4:10

Community Outreach Committee:
God's Work Our Hands Community Service Projects
Answering the call from the ELCA churchwide organization, Good Shepherd formed a Community Outreach Committee. Our members have shown a stronger committment to the Pocatello community through participation in monthly service projects planned by this committee. Blue t-shirts with the slogan God's Work Our Hands are worn by service project participants and provide a sense of unity and visibility. Additional t-shirts are available for $10.

Shepherds Flock

Your Relay for Life Team

The annual Relay for Life cancer research walk-a-thon was July 9th 2016 at Century High School.

Last year, our church team raised over $4,100 – and we are aiming for another $4,000 this year.  We are looking for members to walk the track and supporters to donate to the cause.  Volunteer, donate or learn more at and search for “Shepherd’s Flock”, or talk with Phil Moessner (220-5748).

Food Bank:
On the third Monday of each month from 5:30-6:30 a small group of members has been gathering at the Idaho Food Bank. The time spent with friendly competition among us and the task at hand; whether it is sorting canned food or scooping dried beans or rice into smaller containers, there is something for each and everyone of us to do. The old adage 'many hands make light work' is truly possible at the Idaho Food Bank. The best part: No experience necessary.

Relay for Life:
Shepherd's Flock took to the Century High School track to fight cancer on Friday July, 10. Thanks to your support Shepherd's Flock raised $4, 130.95 (138% of our goal!)
