Worship and Music

Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.
Ephesians 5:19

Lifting up Prayers: With the goal of the congregation to listen for and hear God, leaders from huddles join together during worship to lift up prayers with members of the congregation during communion. The leaders stand at the back of the sanctuary to pray upon request or by inspiration of the Holy Spirit if no special request is made. Members are also encouraged to utilize the Altar Rail, even during Communion served by Intinction, to allow a space for the lifting up of personal prayers.

Choir: The church choir, led by David Bowman and accompanied by Nicole Hasenpflug and Jo Ann Bugbee, provide music during worship and offer Choir Cantatas during the season of Advent and on Good Friday.

Lent Liturgy: During Lent the Liturgy Singing God's Word by Dan Bowman is used. As the title indicates, this liturgy puts nearly the entire worship service to music. Singing those familiar words that we are used to speaking allows us to experience worship from a new perspective.
